A little bit of alot of news...

Well it has been a very busy and exciting summer for us here at Homestead Blessings. Gardening, canning, swimming in the creek, cleaning house, farming, hauling hay and fellowshiping with other like minded believers on the front porch while the sun sank west over the hills. We have had some cooler weather already, a little early this year I think. The other morning we had a fire going in our wood cookstove and it felt so nice and cozy. We are always greatful for fall to come, bringing the cooler beautiful weather and bluegrass festivals in eastern Tennessee. Bluegrass festivals are a wonderful part of our lives and we always look froward to going to them and hearing good music, eating good food and meeting new people. We are currently working on the "Homestead Blessings Cookbook" which will be out sometime this fall, we're hoping. Also coming up soon we'll be filming the next three Homestead Blessings DVD's, so keep an eye out for them. Well, take care ya'll, and may you have many God given homestead blessings!

My girls and I have enjoyed your videos. We have canned for years but after watching the video we decided to try the eggs. We love them. I used to make pickled eggs by soaking boiled eggs in pickled beets. I loved the flavor plus the purple color. But now I can have them anytime. Next time I may experiment with using some beet juice for color. We have made soap and herbal vinegars. Next we hope to dip candles. Thank you for all your hard work and may God continue to bless the work of your hands.
In the Lord's strength,
Penny

We are starting to have a bit of fall around PA too, and I think it is early also! I'll take it though - I love it!

Exciting about the cookbook and the new videos. Last fall my daughters and I made candles - your glow pots! We gave them as gifts for Christmas and also enjoyed them in our own home. They are so beautiful! Thanks for sharing all your wonderful ideas and tips for those of us who love home!

Blessings to you all.

Just watched your soap making video and loved it! Trying to create some organic and healthy body products and i learned alot from all of you on your video. I am excited to see the full line of videos you offer as it seems to be right down my alley, so to speak. I love that you live off the fruit of the land..that idea interests me. However i must take it one step at a time, being raised in the city didn't afford me much knowledge on gardening and such. I do however wish you and your family great blessings as i am sure you will recieve, and I know that you have a purpose in this life...and thank you for sharing your gifts with us.

We got your wonderful 6 piece DVD set and have been watching it over and over. FINALLY a whole wheat bread recipe that is easy and super tasty. No more hard dry loafs here at Wind Dance Farm. Morning breakfast is now toast and peanut butter, yum. Look forward to running the mill and doing the weekly baking. You can't imagine how many recipes for ww bread I've tried before this...everyone who tastes my bread is baking it,too! I always tell them to get your DVD's--'cause I can't part with mine! Diana

Hi Ladies,
I discovered your site today and really have enjoyed browsing around. When I saw the quote out of the book Royal Path of Life, I was astounded! I had no idea anyone else even owned a copy of that book but me! lol My grandmother gave it to me, a few years before she died. She told me the book had everything I needed to know, to have a happy and successful life.

Do you ladies have contact information for emailing or possibly affiliate applications for your products? I'd love to share your stories and your products with my own readers.

Hello, West Ladies, Can you please tell me where I might find accurate lyrics to your song, "Green Beans in the Garden"? I would love to be able to understand the whole song- there are just a few words I can't quite make out. Thanks!
Sincerely, Polly Burroughs

Hello Dear Wests!

Wow, glad to hear that you are releasing more videos! I already bought the six first ones, and another set to send to my sister(s) in Australia. Can't wait to see the new ones. The other six are so informative and entertaining. I hope you will release one on creative dressmaking, as I heard the girls are good seamstresses.
God Bless!

Dear West Ladies,
I have emailed a couple of times with no reply, so I will ask my questions here and maybe you will put something on you website. I am wondering about your backgrounds, like how you came to this type of living? Where are your men? I mean we never hear or see the husbands. I know you go by The West Ladies, but your life story would be very interesting. Thank you for your time and God be with you all.
