Apple Cider From The Farm

Apple Cider is such a blessing and we were able to press 10 gallons this year from our own homestead orchard!  See how it's done in our new YouTube video.

Apples to Apples

Fall is just around the corner and apple harvest has begun in Tennessee!

We'll be grateful for these jars of fruit this winter!

We were blessed to be able to press 10 gallons of good ole fashioned apple cider!!

This morning we went to pick apples in one of our small orchards

Some on the trees, some on the ground

Some were pretty high in the trees and a little hard to reach. 

We hope to start pickin' on the hill top orchard this coming week.

Giving our new work horse a sweet snack. Notice her beautiful bluish eye? 

We call her Shenandoah, because it means "clear eyed daughter of the stars". She actually has two blue eyes!

We are very excited about getting a new horse, a new "homestead blessing"!
