We are also very grateful for getting our hoop house planted and covered before the frost got too hard. Now we have loads of beautiful greens, kale, swiss chard, lettuce, cabbage and broccoli- perfect for our fresh juices we love to make every morning.
This is one of the last basket of potatoes harvested from the garden. Yukon Gold, how delicious!
We were blessed to have a wonderful Thanksgiving celebration with some dear friends. The children made this very adorable corn husk doll family. Aren't they cute?
I even got to go riding for the first time in a long while. It was so wonderful.
After the holiday we got a load of Homestead Blessings Cookbook orders and spent one whole morning packing and shipping. We are so thankful for that and we had so much fun hearing from so many different folks around the world! What a blessing!
And last but not least, our first "snow' of the season. It only stuck on the frozen tree tops, but if you were looking up into the trees, you felt like you were in a Winter Wonderland. :)
"We've got a lot to be thankful for and Lord I want to thank You"!
Blessings from the Homestead,
Vicki

Check your blog daily for updates. I really enjoy the pictures. Ordered the book and cd just waiting for their arrival. Your site really makes me miss our farm. We had to move in 88 because of my husbands work. But everytime i hear the word home I think of the farm. Please keep up the great work. Thanks Judy gardner ky
Glad you had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Love all those greens growing in the hoop house, I'm still dreaming of having a hoop house for winter growing. I think I may have told you all once before, but I think I will again, I was blessed to win a set of your DVDs and I instantly fell in love with your family. You are super sweet people, the kind you long to be your next door neighbors. When I'm feeling the need for some down home folk time I pop in one of your DVDs and sit back for a visit. Thank you for being a breath of fresh air to so many people. God Bless
It is lovely to see your pictures & I love your hoop house for your winter garden. Here in Australia we are blessed to be able to garden year-round too!
Have a lovely week
Blessings

Hi! I just wanted to thank you for the Homestead Blessings DVDs that I won as a part of the Holiday Barn Hop over at Homestead Revival. I'm so excited and can't wait to watch and learn from them!
Thank you,

Dear West Ladies, I received a cookbook from our daughter as a surprise. It is wonderful! I was able to put up lemon curd from your recipe. I am not sure how long the few jars I was able to make will last...it is being consumed quickly.I can't wait to make some more. We also had the stroganoff for supper one evening and it was given a thumbs up. Thank you! Blessings to you all.
I have your cookbook on it's way to me! I ordered it from Vision Forum! :) I should have ordered it directly from you gals though so I could have had it autographed!
your website isn't working. it just says "Future home of something cool" with a Hawaiian shirt hanging in the closet??
