We just had a wonderful weekend in Bodcaw, Arkansas, with the Daniels family and their wonderful community.
A morning sunrise over the cow pasture and pond.

 The three little Daniels children singing with their daddy.

 All the ladies came together and made these beautiful gifts for us! We were so very blessed!!

 Singing at the Bodcaw Country Store after a supper of Southern fried catfish and hamburgers.

 A morning walk down the dirt road to the Daniels house for breakfast.
{with rollers still in the hair}

 Preparing for the day's workshops.

 Sharing about gardening, herbs, soap making and quilting.

 All the lovely ladies who hosted the Homestead Blessings workshop.
Thank you, ladies, y'all did a good job!

 Here we are with the Daniels family on their front porch, saying goodbye and thanks for a wonderful blessed time together!

PS. Great news, the Homestead Blessings Cookbook will be available again by tomorrow morning on our website www.homestead-blessings.com.

Cool! That's one of the best things about winter is the sunrises and sunsets.

Hi! I was wondering if you had tips on cleaning and blacking cookstoves. I have a 1933 Kalamazoo Cookstove and am interested in healthy and natural ways of maintaining it instead of chemicals. Any thoughts? Thanks!

Sounds like a lovely time. :-)

Melissa L - there's some advice about stove cleaning on The Dervaes family website, The Urban Homestead.
